  • Now after the trademark search, File the application for trademark registration online through the IP India Website or can be physically at the trademark office.
  • Following details required in Trademark Registration:
  • Name of the Applicant
  • Trademark Logo, design
  • Classes of goods or services under which the trademark will be registered, which depends upon the category of goods or services.
  • After filing, the trademark office examines the application of trademark and examine if trademark is already registered or not, if trademark is similar to another trademark.
  • If there are objections, applicant must file that within time period or can face refusal. If there are no objections, the application proceeds to next stage.
  • If no objection come from the trademark office, then the trademark published in the trademark journal
  • This allows third parties to oppose the trademark, if that trademark infringes on their rights.
  • After the response of the opposition or if no oppose on the trademark, then the trademark will become officially registered.
  • Then applicant received the Trademark Registration Certificate.
  • A registered trademark is valid up to 10 years from the date of the registration. After this period, trademark can be renewed for further 10 years.
